Enjoy this time lapse video of an installation piece we recently completed in Austin, TX. Inspired by crystal structure of topaz, the state gemstone of Texas found locally in the Hill Country, the sculpture titled Crystal Clouds, is composed of twelve tetrahedral clouds. The clouds are created from a thin aluminum framework and 3D printed hardware integrated with triangular panels of dichroic acrylic. The multifaceted orientation incorporates the viewer’s movement, color, and natural light to create an ever changing experience that reflects and transmits color reactive to the atmospheric conditions of the space.
